How to light a bonfire the Cypriot way:
1) Tell all firemen to take the night off. It is Easter after all
2) Pour a large amount of petrol onto a large pile of wood
3) Pour a line of petrol out from the wood
4) Set light to line of petrol:
5) Run very fast in the opposite direction:
6) Come back when the flames reduce down to 30 feet high:
7) Give your 5 year old child a firework to let off so that they feel part of the celebrations
8) Happy Easter!!!!

Yes, no messing around with fire rules and regulations! I haven't even got onto the fireworks yet....
