I was sitting outside in the sunshine drawing the Great Wall of Lemba. As I was drawing this statue, a butterfly landed on its nose and suddenly the statue seemed to come to life. Like the real Madame Butterfly, she is patiently waiting unable to leave her world, although here she is enjoying basking in the sunshine, smiling at the world and appreciating the wildlife all around while she waits. I thought it would make a perfect painting....

I like your idea about the statue being transfixed in the wall. You should put that comment with the painting when you finally show it.

Survived Easter at Castle, could do with you back short staffed, French kids swarming, french fisherman striking, whats new. We have no butterflies here just a new tor systems but that has gremlins. Doreen & Chris
