Well, actually the journey has already begun. When I first moved down to Kent. Wanting to explore my long forgotten artistic skills again, I enrolled on a textiles home study course. The course wasn't very good but it gave me enough of a start to launch me on a path of creative exploration and discovery and I haven't looked back since. That was six years ago, and I am now a qualified embroiderer thanks to an intensive 3 year apprenticeship with the Royal School of Needlework and I am also a qualified teacher.
The journey that begins now is one that will delve deeper into the creative aspect of my life. I am off to the Cyprus College of art to do a Diploma in Fine Art at their college just north of Paphos. This blog is for all of my colleagues and students, to give them inspiration to further explore their already amazing talent and for anyone who, like me, hasn't found anything as fulfilling as creating...

- I became a freelance Embroiderer and Artist after graduating from the Royal School of Needlework. I hold a Certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich and have just completed a Diploma in Fine Art from the Cyprus College of Art. I teach groups and individuals and work on private commissions. In my spare time I like geneaology (400+ family members so far), having days out on the bikes and enjoying the garden.

Apparently unrelated happenings in one's life can have transformative effects on one's creativity.
